FAQ’s Melbourne Business Valuation

These are a few of the questions we get asked.

How long should my valuation take?

After we have all the relevant information for the purpose of your business valuation, the Independent Valuer will conduct an inspection and provide a comprehensive report detailing all their findings. You will receive your report within 5-7 business days from the day of inspection. This quick turnaround means that you and your business will have the results you require when you need them.

What Information does Melbourne Business Valuation need to complete my valuation

In order to start your business valuation we usually need a few points of information. Most of the time these are:

  • Your business’ latest submitted Tax Return.
  • Simple details of your business like website and physical address and purpose.
  • A Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet for the appropriate year (most of the time this will be the current year).
  • Previous 3 years of historical financial statements
  • Any photos or past reports regarding your business and the purpose of the valuation

The team at Melbourne Business Valuations are here to help and assign a certified local valuer best suited to your business valuation purpose.

What forms of payment does Melbourne Business Valuations accept

We accept payment in a wide range of forms. Further information is provided to you when you receive your invoice on the day of the valuation.

I have an unusual Business. Can it be valued?

Our valuers have 20 years of experience each and with that real world experience our valuers have seen it all. With the different tools at our disposal you can rest assured that we can value your business with our highly qualified expert team of valuers.

Do I need a business valuation for an internal restructure?

No matter how small, an internal restructuring should include a business valuation. We have lost count of the amount of times a business has not covered itself with an independent business valuation and had to pay dearly for it further down the line with fees and back tax to the ATO.

When do I pay for my valuation?

We don't require any upfront payments. You will receive your invoice on the date of the inspection and only after your detailed and certified independent valuation has been completed do we require payment. As soon as payment has been received you will receive your report.
